“We live in a world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if we seek them with our eyes open.” -Jawaharlal Nehru
The day was bright with a slight breeze. The weather was warm and soft like your favorite fuzzy blanket. The sounds of the birds chirping and the waves crashing in the distance created the calming soundtrack to this perfect day.  As I walked the grounds of The Upham Hotel with the beautiful bride to be, I couldn’t help but feel a warm sense of nostalgia at the history of the place. The cottages are so quaint and charming and the staff was so friendly and pleasant!
The drive to the Santa Barbara Courthouse took only a few minutes and as we walked with Melissa to meet with her dad, she finally expressed her nervousness and excitement for what was about to happen. She was getting ready to pledge her forever love and exchange vows with the love of her life. Â Chad stood just a few feet away ready to see his bride. Goofing off with his sister just moments before the big “I-Do”, they adjusted each other’s bow ties and headed over to the Rotunda Lawn where the guests were anxiously waiting.
Melissa’s father officiated and family and friends participated in this small, intimate gathering and expression of love and commitment.
These are just a few of my favorites from their beautiful and intimate wedding. Â Enjoy!
And when you have gorgeous rings such as these, I will probably take a few hundred detail shots of them. 😉
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Johnsten! May you have many wonderful and beautiful years of marriage together!
