For part one of Kristy & Steve’s NYC Central Park engagement session, we went just before the sun went down hoping to find romantic pockets of light. Finding spaces that weren’t crowded with people proved to be quite challenging but we made it work! We also decided that we were going to need to plan a part two SUNRISE session to get the Bethesda Fountain to ourselves.
Of all of the places we planned to shoot in NYC, I was most excited to see Central Park. As a huge rom-com fan, many of my favorite romantic scenes were filmed here! Serendipity, Maid in Manhattan and Enchanted to name a few!
We didn’t even scratch the surface of Central Park with our quick visit. I can’t wait to go back again and take a day (or two!) to really explore all that Central Park has to offer.
We started with walking around and taking in the sights. When I saw this super romantic location, I couldn’t resist stopping and asking them to hang out for a minute.
The staircase leading to the Bethesda Fountain is so grand and beautiful! It’s just oozing with romance and love!
The park is full of the beauty of nature and surrounded in city sights. It’s truly breathtaking!
It was so mesmerizing to watch these gigantic bubble blowers! There are many street vendors happily entertaining the crowds of people.
Central Park is full of architectural beauty and textures. Trefoil Arch was such a beautiful pitstop.
This spot was on my “must see in person” list. Walking under the gorgeous canopy of elm trees created the ultimate romantic stroll.
We met the coolest carriage ride driver as we were getting ready to leave the park. A quick photo-op turned into a mini tour as he showed us around. He pointed out where Kevin McAllister meets the Bird Lady in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York among a few other iconic spots.
We ended the night barhopping across various rooftops in the Times Square area.
NYC is absolutely gorgeous. Morning, noon and night… all hours of the day. It’s no wonder everyone falls in love with this city.
Come back soon to see part two of our NYC Central Park engagement session at sunrise!
