After exploring Central Park in the late afternoon on one of our first days in NYC, we quickly concluded that we were going to need to plan a sunrise shoot. Bethesda Fountain is a breathtaking sight and is always swarming with admiring people.
Arriving in the very early morning hours at Central Park was so serene. There were a few joggers enjoying the crisp air as they ran on the Central Park loop. An occasional dog walker strolled by with their furry companions. The sights and sounds of the park were so welcoming and peaceful.
We started our photo adventure at Bethesda Terrace and the Bethesda Fountain.
The beautiful, golden sunrise light was irresistible. I loved the way the warm light hugged them so romantically.
One of my photography bucket list captures was this coveted shot of the Bethesda Arches. It was absolutely worth the 3am wakeup call to get here before the masses.
Just beyond the Bethesda Fountain is The Lake that houses The Loeb Boathouse. On any beautiful afternoon you can find The Lake filled with couples enjoying a romantic rowboat rental. At sunrise, you will find a peaceful lake with a beautiful reflection.
Another iconic bridge in many of our favorite rom-coms, we couldn’t pass up the photo opportunity.
Our last stop before continuing our adventure towards Boston was to stop and see the iconic NYC Skyline from Liberty State Park.
This wraps up the NYC portion of our East Coast adventure!
