Summer vacation.

I can vividly remember the anxiousness felt that last month of school.  The anticipation of sleeping in, long and lazy days, hanging with friends…

*sigh*

Remember the bittersweet feeling of senior year?  Knowing that this was it.  The LAST summer vacation.  It was exciting, sad, exhilarating, nostalgic, joyful! All rolled up into one huge ball of emotional.. ness…   lol!

Working with high school seniors seriously bring that wave of nostalgia over me each and every time I have the pleasure of working with one.  I walk away wondering, “When in the world did time elude me?  And since when did I become the “goofy” adult that kids like to make fun of?”    lol… ;)

So… without further ado… meet Marc.  Facing his last summer vacation as a student… he is looking forward to this summer with friends.  Marc, I wish you the best of luck with your future… you can do anything you set your mind to do!  Sandra, it was an absolute pleasure meeting you and working with you two.  Enjoy your sneak peek! :)

Graduation…

April 7, 2009

From the time we first go to school, there is a “light at the end of the tunnel”.

High School Graduation.

Most kids can’t wait until they are “18″ and legally deemed an “adult”.

“No more homework, no more books, no more teacher’s dirty looks…”

Growing up, there was always this misconception that adulthood was going to be so much more glamorous and fun.  School was boring.  There was nothing to do.  Parents were mean.  {Can anyone relate?}

Looking back, I realize that while almost all kids can’t wait to be an adult, all adults wish we could turn back the clocks and be kids again… :)    You know… work is boring.  There is never enough time.  Kids are mean…. lol!

Kidding, kidding… but it’s funny how the world goes round, huh?  :P

Speaking of high school graduates, I recently had the pleasure of meeting Mr. T.  {No, not the Mr. T from A-Team!… *eek*… did I just date myself?!}  lol!

A high school senior, he is gearing up for graduation in just a few weeks.

He is the all american, blond-haired-blue-eyed, rodeo champ, abercrombie and fitch kid that any parent would be proud of!

Not only that, but he was dream to work with!  Incredibly easy going, relaxed and fun, he was a natural for the camera… Work it!  :)

T & T, it was fun!  It was a pleasure to meet you and work with you… I’m looking forward to the next time! :)

Enjoy!

Junior High Graduation.

Remember the feeling?  Knowing that in just a few short months, you’re moving up to HIGH SCHOOL.

EEK!  I remember the feeling of anticipation, excitement… and fear.  It’s such a huge step!  I remember being intimidated by the fact that lil ole 14 year old me was going to be in school with kids that were practically adults!  They looked so huge and … adultish.  lol!

My gorgeous niece is in that place.  She is graduating next month and is on her way to that big, big place called “high school”.   However, this beauty has no fear… she is embracing her place with confidence and gusto.  I’m so proud of her and proud to be called her “tia”! :)

Here are a few of my faves of our session… enjoy!
