Love is blind…

“You’ll always know when the right person walks into your life…” - The Butcher’s Wife

How true is that?

Just ask Flor & Dennis.

They met because two very loving, very trust worthy individuals forced nature a bit and set this duo up on a blind date.

Flor was very apprehensive as she had been through this once already with disastrous  results.  So she devised an escape plan with her friend… “If I start coughing uncontrollably, that’s our cue to make like a tree and leave… make like hay and bale!”  :)  lol!

Okay, so she might not have used those corny lines at the end but the truth was, she had no idea that the man of her dreams was about to walk right into her life via The Blind Date…

He knew he was in love the moment she allowed him to eat off her plate.  (How sweet is that???  I imagined the scene from Lady and the Tramp as she told me the story…)  :)

He later surprised her at work because he wanted to see her au naturel (without makeup, people!  Don’t go there… ;))  LOL!

Fast forward a few years and here they are today, ENGAGED!

We met in Santa Monica for a super cool, urban session.  Bake town has been a weee bit hot lately {eek!  who am I kidding?!?  It’s a bazillion degrees!} so we opted for the nicer Los Angeles weather… yummy!

Flor and Dennis, I sincerely had a wonderful time with you guys!  Thanks for being super cool and patient!

Enjoy your sneak peek! :)

You’re in love. No ifs, ands or buts about it. That’s just the way it is. Sometimes you long for someone to love and search desperately for “the one”. Sometimes love just has a way of finding you when you least expect it…

That’s what happened to Marisela and Anthony.. love found its way into their hearts and changed their lives forever…

She had just left the Air Force and was happy to be home. The last thing that was on her mind was finding love…

He met her through family and friends. They chatted online and would occasionally bump into one another. They quickly became friends and talked about their lives, dreams and goals.

He soon after joined the Army and left for boot camp. While he was gone, she realized just how much she really cared about him. A letter was written and so their love story begins…

Since he’s stationed in North Carolina, their relationship has been a long distance one. One that’s about to be even longer as he is getting ready for deployment… They knew that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together so they got married and here we are today…

I was asked to capture their love in images while he was home on leave and I was more than happy to oblige. :)

Marisela and Anthony, I hope you have many blessed years together… :) Thank you for allowing me to create these for you… Enjoy!

The Guest Book

June 10, 2009

Remember Jacqueline & Oliver?

This super sweet couple ordered one of my favorite albums of all time to use as their guest sign in book.  One of the reasons I love making these books is that it is so much more fun and personal to be able to sign a book displaying the couple’s favorite images from their engagement session.  Kind of like a yearbook… only better.  :)  This is a custom designed album that is a collaboration of their ideas, wants & needs along with my design ideas and expertise.  It was a lengthy project but one that I enjoyed immensely!

My moment of satisfaction came upon delivery when Jacqueline was all smiles… :)

One of the nice things about this style of guest book is that when the wedding is over, you can display this album as a coffee table book and continually recount the memories of your attending guests as well as your engagement photos. It’s a great memory keeper…

Here is a small peek at their album…
