Baby Bumps & Silhouettes

September 17, 2009

A few months ago (actually more like almost a year ago…), I had an idea that I was itching to try but no willing or available subjects.  If you’ve ever had a baby or visited an OB’s office, you’ve seen the posters that have each stage of pregnancy and the changes that happen to the mother’s body while her precious lil one is being perfectly formed…  AND if you’re a mom, you most likely have taken the “belly” snapshots during each month of your pregnancy…

So, how cool would it be to have a silhouette photo documenting each stage of your changing form?  :)

I got a “guess who’s pregnant?” phone call one day  and I knew INSTANTLY that I had found my model!  Melissa is creative, super sweet, beautiful and most importantly (for this project) down to try just about anything once!  lol! ;)  It was a long project in the making but one that was well worth the wait.

If you (or someone you know) are newly pregnant or plan to be soon, contact me to find out more about the Baby Bumps & Silhouettes story board….  It’s a wonderful keepsake for you and your family.  :)

The Guest Book

June 10, 2009

Remember Jacqueline & Oliver?

This super sweet couple ordered one of my favorite albums of all time to use as their guest sign in book.  One of the reasons I love making these books is that it is so much more fun and personal to be able to sign a book displaying the couple’s favorite images from their engagement session.  Kind of like a yearbook… only better.  :)  This is a custom designed album that is a collaboration of their ideas, wants & needs along with my design ideas and expertise.  It was a lengthy project but one that I enjoyed immensely!

My moment of satisfaction came upon delivery when Jacqueline was all smiles… :)

One of the nice things about this style of guest book is that when the wedding is over, you can display this album as a coffee table book and continually recount the memories of your attending guests as well as your engagement photos. It’s a great memory keeper…

Here is a small peek at their album…
