About the Artist

April 30, 2009

Hi! *wave*

If you’re reading this, chances are you want to know a little bit more about the person behind the camera…

I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and tell you a little about what I do.

My name is Marsha Zepeda and I am an on-location lifestyle portraiture artist located in Bakersfield, California (serving Kern County and all surrounding areas.)  My business, The Photegé, provides high quality portraits and design and exceptional customer care.

My mission is to display my passion and committment to my clients by providing high quality photographic art as well as an unforgettable experience while capturing priceless memories.

You may wonder and ask, “What exactly is lifestyle portraiture?”  Lifestyle portraiture is simply a photographic style that most captures an individual’s inner being.  An image of this style allows a person’s true character and personality to shine through in their portraits.  My approach is casual, relaxed and fun.  I take time to get to know my clientele and make them comfortable.  I whole-heartedly believe that this is the best method of preserving memories as children grow quickly and our time with them is fleeting.  When you look back on images from throughout the years, the most cherished photos are those that have meaning.  The images that evoke emotion.  A tear to your eye, a tug on your heartstrings or a lump in your throat.  Those are true, cherished portraits.  Lifestyle portraiture captures exactly that… LIFE: as you know it.

I am 100% committed to providing you with not only beautifully created portraits that you would be proud to display, but a first-class customer experience as well.

Clients relish the personal attention I provide and treasure the timeless images that I am able to capture.

I fully retouch each and every image and no portrait leaves my hands until they get my personal seal of approval.  When you hire The Photegé, you can be confident that you are hiring a professional who believes that quality over-rules quantity every time.  Therefore, I limit the amount of custom sessions per week to be able to provide the best possible experience and service to my clientele.

If you have not yet seen my portfolio, please take a moment to visit my website at www.thephotege.com.  If you would like to see specific examples, samples are available upon your request.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact me via phone or by email with any questions and/or concerns you may have.  I am looking forward to meeting you and working with you soon!

Sincerely,
Marsha Zepeda
