It’s a first!

April 19, 2009

A First Birthday for lil’ Miss A that is! :)

Miss A was adorably sweet and wonderful!  She loved being outside and was an absolute joy.   We were blessed with a beautiful spring day… perfect for portraits!   We started off in the great outdoors and then headed our way back to the studio for the cupcakes!  :)  YUM!  Miss A hasn’t had sweets like this until this session.  She was actually saying, “MMMMMMMMMMM….”  We were laughing so hard!  She was too cute and was very mad at us when we stopped to clean up… poor baby!

HUGE thanks to Arlene and Jesse… thank you for trusting me!  You guys are troopers! :) AND… for bringing her in this super duper cute outfit! TOO DIE FOR! lol! :)

Here are a few favorites… enjoy! :)

Arlene: I LOVE them All!!!! Thanks Again!!!

They’ve known each other for years.

He knew her as his mom’s friend.

She knew him as her friend’s son.

Never in a million years did they imagine they would be married one day.

They goofed around with one another and shared stories.  There were many dinners, get togethers and comings and goings… Again, each going around their own circles without ever realizing what could possibly be… one day.

Then came the time when [one day], out of the blue, they realized they had feelings for one another.

Not just cutesy, “I-have-a-crush-on-you” types of feelings… but deep, meaningful feelings that only true friends share.  You see, they already had the friendship part down pat.  They had been friends for a long time.  So it was only natural that they would eventually fall in love…

Even more meaningful for Sarah, Jonathan loved her son.  He’s known him since he was just a baby.  *J* has been a part of this family for as long as he can remember, even calling Jonathan’s mom “Grandma” since he could talk!

You might remember them from our session in July… time flies!  :)

Christy, {mother of the groom and one of my very best friend’s}, thank you for inviting us to capture this day for your family…

Sarah and Jonathan, thank you so much for trusting us to be there to document the start of your lives together…   We had a wonderful time and we wish you many, many long and happy years together! :)

Special thanks to my husband for being my shooting partner… Thanks for being there and putting up with my endless demands… I love you!  :)

Enjoy!

If you made it this far, thank you.  If you have time, leave a comment for the newlyweds… :)

Most of all, BE BLESSED!  Have a fabulous week!

Graduation…

April 7, 2009

From the time we first go to school, there is a “light at the end of the tunnel”.

High School Graduation.

Most kids can’t wait until they are “18″ and legally deemed an “adult”.

“No more homework, no more books, no more teacher’s dirty looks…”

Growing up, there was always this misconception that adulthood was going to be so much more glamorous and fun.  School was boring.  There was nothing to do.  Parents were mean.  {Can anyone relate?}

Looking back, I realize that while almost all kids can’t wait to be an adult, all adults wish we could turn back the clocks and be kids again… :)    You know… work is boring.  There is never enough time.  Kids are mean…. lol!

Kidding, kidding… but it’s funny how the world goes round, huh?  :P

Speaking of high school graduates, I recently had the pleasure of meeting Mr. T.  {No, not the Mr. T from A-Team!… *eek*… did I just date myself?!}  lol!

A high school senior, he is gearing up for graduation in just a few weeks.

He is the all american, blond-haired-blue-eyed, rodeo champ, abercrombie and fitch kid that any parent would be proud of!

Not only that, but he was dream to work with!  Incredibly easy going, relaxed and fun, he was a natural for the camera… Work it!  :)

T & T, it was fun!  It was a pleasure to meet you and work with you… I’m looking forward to the next time! :)

Enjoy!
