Two year olds have such a bad rap.

Terrible two’s?  Ppffftt.  Does this little angel face look like she’s capable of being terrible????  I think not!  :)

Two year olds are simply just misunderstood.  On the verge of self-discovery, they explore everything around them while their curiosity gets the best of them.  Trying to communicate with people who don’t speak your language can be quite frustrating… right?  Well, all that yelling, screaming, kicking, throwing, temper-tantrum inducing stress brought on by miscommunication is simply just that… the inability to get that point across to someone who is trying to help you.  :)  lol!  As a parent of 4 (with a two year old myself), [trust me...] it took me a while to learn that all that chaos associated with the “terrible two’s” was not God trying to punish me… but more so God trying to teach *me*.  Once you let go of trying to control the situation and begin to enjoy the process; the moment… life is so much more rewarding!  :)

Anyhow, moving on… :)

This little doll’s mommy and daddy were in dire need of a session… time flies when you’re having fun, right?  Well, they were having so much fun, they realized that it had been a little while since they had portraits taken… in fact, it had been too long.  So we got together for an emergency session just in time to do her 2 year birthday portraits and invitations!  We started outside and then worked our way to the studio…

Miss *S* definitely worked me!  Full of spunk and surprises, we had a great time capturing her little character!

To mommy and daddy of *S*… thanks for allowing me to capture your lil’ girl’s personality… it was fun!  :)

Enjoy!  Here are a few of my faves… :)

Just ask this couple.

Spend a few minutes with them and you wouldn’t believe it if they paid you…

They just celebrated their 75th birthdays.

Born just a few days apart, they’ve known each other since elementary school, went to junior high together, dated in high school and married after graduation.

75? No way.

They run/walk a minimum of 6 miles daily. SIX. DAILY.

{I don’t think I walk 6 miles in a week! sshhhhh….}

He’s a runner. No, you don’t understand. A runner. Not just any kind of runner, but a runner. As in, he runs 100 milers.

{*faint***thud*}

He’s been known to disappear for a day and come back with a nonchalant attitude of, “Yeah, I just came back from running a hundred miles…”

Incredibly fit and trim, this couple amazed me! They walked around the party with ease and chucked up grandkids like nothing!

To celebrate this momentous occasion, the family got together and planned a surprise family/friend reunion to honor this beautiful couple.

People came from miles around.

Sam and Mary are incredibly loved! Told that their presence was needed for a small family photo, they were picked up by a family member and brought to meet their loving family and friends at this incredible surprise party.

We were invited to go and capture the event. I feel so blessed and privileged to have been there… As I moved silently about with my camera, the amount of love and affection felt in the atmosphere was overwhelming. Beautiful and emotional… between my husband and I, we were able to capture some very special moments!

To Lynsey and the rest of the family, thank you so much for allowing us to document this day for you… we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was a pleasure and an honor to meet you…

Here’s a little slideshow for your viewing pleasure… Enjoy! :)

Beautiful momma…

We hear it all the time…

Pregnancy has a way of making a woman glow.

Where does this remarkable glow come from?

Vitamins? Increased intake of H2O? The extra calories that are consumed?

I personally believe that the incredible glow of pregnancy stems from the miracle of life. The mere fact that a woman’s body was created so intricately to house a baby and nourish it as it grows and forms within the womb… wow! It’s a blessing and an indescribable joy!

I recently met up with this gorgeous mommy to be… Anxiously and excitedly awaiting her first born, she exudes beauty and peacefulness…

Crystal, I truly enjoyed spending the afternoon with you. You are a gorgeous mommy and your baby is so lucky to have you and your husband as parents. I can’t wait to meet him! :)

Enjoy!
