Tony & Irene…

February 27, 2009

Soon to be Mr. & Mrs. Gonzalez, these two are not your average couple in love.

At first glance, it’s obvious that they’re crazy for one another.

But look closer, what do you see?

A couple so comfortable with one another that nothing is held back…

;)

LOL!  I had fun with you guys!  Thanks for being good sports!  Enjoy!

Valentine’s Day Wedding…

February 27, 2009

After enduring terrible, stormy SoCal weather, there was obvious dread that this year’s Valentine’s Day was going to be a dreary one.

The week leading up to the day of love was one of dark, gloomy days, ominous clouds and torrential, sporadic showers.

I had a teeny tiny sense of dread and nervousness as I pondered over how in the world we were going to get over the Grapvine and to Yorba Linda in time to help with a wedding…

You see, a few weeks before Valentine’s Day, the weather was gorgeous! Beautiful sun, bright blue skies and short sleeve temps.  I heard opportunity knocking and didn’t hesitate to jump at the chance!  The ever so sweet Stacy Z [of Stacy Z Photography in Boulder, Co] was going to be in the O.C. area shooting a wedding and needed a second shooter. Of course I inquired… and was beyond thrilled when I was invited along!

My dear husband was going with me and since he is a wonderful and confident driver, took over all driving responsibilities while I settled in and tried my darndest not to fall asleep…

I was nervous as we headed out.  The rain was really coming down.  I had checked road conditions and all was said to be clear… so, off we went. We prayed for a safe and dry trip and wouldn’t you know it?  As soon as we drove about 15 minutes out of Bakersfield, it stopped raining and it was dry as dry could be!  Praise God!

We stopped in Irvine to get rain gear for our equipment *just in case* we had a rainy ceremony…  Thank, God that the “rain, rain went away” overnight!  We woke up to a beautiful day!

Upon arriving at the destination, my husband and I were commandeered to capture the groom and his men as well as a few details.  After getting a few images at the bride’s gorgeous home, we headed off to the venue… We had a great time at Black Gold!  Julie is a GREAT coordinator… She was *on* it!

So without further ado… meet Liana & Mike!  Enjoy!

My husband and I had a blast shooting this wedding with Stacy!  We met some fabulous people and made new friends.  :)

As always, thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a WONDERFUL and BLESSED day!

More to come!

February 24, 2009

With all the hustle and bustle of our day to day lives, (and my incessant need to fix things that don’t necessarily appear broken… ie. my blog)  I have slacked off on writing…  I apologize for my lagging and am posting a teaser of more to come… :)  Stay tuned!
