Ode to my mom

September 8, 2008

“A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take.”

- Cardinal Mermillod

What can I say?  I LOVE my mom.  No matter what has ever happened in our lives, she has been there for me.  100% of the time.  Sure, we fight.  What parent doesn’t fight with their child?  lol… But if you want to know the definition of true, unconditional love, a mom says it best!

Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of spending 2 days alone with my mom.  10 of those hours were in the car!  I was nervous at first because I wondered if we would spend those 10 driving hours with her lecturing me.  But it was actually really nice!  We had a lot of fun goofing off and joking around.  Sure, we did have some deep, serious talks, but they were so helpful to me.  I am so glad that my mom was able to go with me. It was much needed!  So with that, check out my beautiful mom… :)

Here are some fun ones we tried out with the timer…

Here’s one my mom took…

Again, I feel incredibly blessed.  God has been good to me.  Sometimes life doesn’t necessarily turn out to be what we might have imagined it to be but God sure has a way of making “all things work together for good”.  :)  God has a master plan for us all….

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  Enjoy your day… may it be wonderfully blessed!

The magic of two…

September 4, 2008

Two arms.  For hugs.

Two hands.  For sweet touches.

Two legs.  To move closer.

Two feet.  To take you to the one you love.

Oh wait…. double that…

FOUR arms.

FOUR hands.

FOUR legs.

FOUR feet.

DOUBLE the love.

of TWINS. :)

I had the extreme pleasure of photographing the most adorable twin girls!  The lucky parents planned on just one little joy but instead got two.  What a blessing!  They have the sweetest disposition.  These two beauties hardly fussed.  As a matter of fact, I sensed a bit of camera hogging!  At the ripe age of only 5 months, they sure know how to pose already!  Uh oh mom and dad, do I sense a bit of diva behavior?  LOL!

Paul and Ame, thank you for sharing your girls with me.  I had a blast!  I look forward to watching them grow and helping you preserve this precious, fleeting time… :)

Without further ado….

Thank you for visiting!  Have a GREAT and BLESSED day!
